We are a pillow and cushion manufacturer in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, and this is the polyester filling we fill our own products with. Nothing here is repacked from another supplier — it comes off the same stock that goes into our pillows, duvets and cushion inserts, which is why it costs a fraction of what most UK sellers charge for the same virgin grade.
Every bag is pure virgin hollow fibre. Virgin means the polyester has never been used or heat-processed before, so each strand still has its hollow channel intact — that channel is what makes the fibre spring back instead of staying flat. Recycled fill is cheaper and looks similar in the bag, but a share of its channels have already been crushed, so it starts with less loft and loses it faster.
It is carded before bagging, so it arrives light and lofted rather than matted, and it meets BS 5852, the British standard for ignition resistance in upholstery fillings — which matters if you are making anything to sell.
1kg, 2kg, 3kg, 4kg and 5kg, with the price per kilo falling at every step. As a guide, 1kg fills one standard UK pillow generously, roughly three 18-inch cushions, or seven to ten medium teddy bears. Full quantity guidance is on the product page.
