Who is a 4.5 tog duvet for?
Summer sleeping from roughly May to September, bedrooms that stay above ~20°C, hot sleepers year-round, memory foam mattress owners (foam retains heat), and children over 3 (lighter togs suit young children — never above 4 tog for toddlers).
Looking for a 1, 2 or 3 tog duvet?
Togs below 4.5 are uncommon and mainly made for babies' cot quilts and very hot climates. For UK summers, 4.5 tog is the standard lightweight choice — if you still overheat on 4.5, a breathable cotton cover and lighter nightwear make a bigger difference than a lower tog.
